The Build~A~Bed
Log Bed Kits are great for those who want to “sand-it”,
“build-it”, and “finish-it” themselves. You can take pride in
saying “I did it”! For those of you who are unsure of your carpentry
skills ~ take heart! The kits are pre-drilled, include easy to follow
instructions, and you can call or e-mail us with any questions! The
logs used for the Build~A~Bed kits are pine. Each log is hand
peeled with a draw knife, which removes all the bark, to accent the
natural characteristics of logs. Each piece is lightly sanded. All Build~A~Bed kits
are provided as unfinished. However, we
suggests the logs be treated with a wood preservative by the
customer.

The posts are 5” average diameter. Headboard and Footboard posts are 84” tall. The top rail of the headboard finishes approximately 42” from the floor. The top rail of the footboard finishes approximately 35-1/2” from the floor. The rails and spindles are 3” average diameter. Finish width for King
size is approximately 81” wide; California
King size, 76” wide; Queen size,
64” wide; Full size, 58” wide; and Twin
